Wireless Solutions for Non-Profit Computer Labs
June 24, 2006
Ambient Enterprises successfully installed wireless Internet capabilities for two of our clients. Wireless Internet access was installed for computer labs at New Covenant Outreach Ministries and Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church. Both non-profit organizations provide computer facilities for the Wylam and Ensley communities respectively. The wireless Internet connection allows users to access the web anywhere in a facility within a specific range of a wireless router.
New Covenant Outreach Ministries (www.ncoministries.org) currently has a computer lab with 15 computers that is used by the Wylam community and participants of the Summer camp program. "We are very excited to have wireless Internet access. It will provide a convenient way for us to connect in several locations throughout our community center," said Bishop Frank J Kirkwood of New Covenant Outreach Ministries. "We are looking to setup computers throughout our building that will let our staff share the same connection that our computer lab already enjoys."
Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church moved into a new facility in 2005. Reverend R. L. Patterson plans to setup a computer lab of 15 - 20 computers all using his new wireless Internet connection. "Since the setup, our staff loves having high speed Internet throughout our community center. We look forward to working with Ambient Enterprises to setup our computer lab and build on the existing IT setup."
New Covenant Outreach Ministry and Abyssinia Missionary Baptist church are both based in Birmingham, AL.

Freddie Stewart of Ambient Enterprises facilitated onsite training and testing exercises for the technology staff Fairfield schools. The new system will allow pages to be updated from any location and does not limit updates to specific computers and locations.
